John McCarthy - Father of Artificial Intelligence
John McCarthy is often called the "Father of Artificial Intelligence". He was an American mathematician, computer scientist and founder of artificial intelligence. He coined the term "artificial intelligence" in 1955 and organized the first artificial intelligence conference at Dartmouth College in 1956.
John McCarthy is one of the "founding fathers" of artificial intelligence, together with Alan Turing, Marvin Minsky, Allen Newell, and Herbert A. Simon.
